CONTRIBUTION OF SEWING MACHINERY IN MARK AND START TRAINING CENTER FOR PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED PEOPLE
Marks & Start is the flagship CSR program of Marks & Spencer in Bangladesh, which is in association with Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralyzed (CRP). This program has been trying to rehabilitate physically challenged people in the garment industry with a view of including them in mainstream employment in the garment sector. They have successfully trained and employed more than 1200 physically challenged people through this project across our supply base in Bangladesh since 2006. Meghna Knit Composite has been a part of Mark and Start Program since 2015; it has contributed to expansion of Marks & Start training center at Gonokbari, Savar and Dhaka by donating two sewing machines.
